From start to finish.

01. Choose where to use Raffit

Use it from r/raffit: visit r/raffit and open the Raffit app there. You do not need to install it in your own subreddit to use this option.

Install in your own subreddit: follow the steps below if you want Raffit available directly in your community.

Sign in to Reddit with an account that moderates the community. Open the Comment Picker app listing, review its permissions and availability, and install it in the subreddit if installation is offered. Raffit is the product name used in the app.

From the subreddit menu, select Open Raffit to create a Raffit launch post. Open that post and launch the expanded app. If the menu is missing, confirm installation and moderator permissions.

02. Choose your post and deadline

In the app, choose a post from the posts view, then open New raffle. Confirm the raffle post, enter the number of winners, and choose the end time and timezone. Publish your giveaway rules in your Reddit post so participants can read them before entering.

03. Define eligible entries

• Entry frequency: once per author, daily, a custom hour interval, or every eligible comment.
• Keyword: require the comment body to include a word or phrase; matching ignores letter case.
• Minimum length: set the minimum trimmed comment length.
• Exclude creator: enabled by default.
• Winner selection: random at draw time or creator-selected comments. Additional comment-score rules can change the method.

Explain repeated entries, weighting, score-based selection, and any manual judging in your public rules. Notes do not create automatic filters. Individual post upvotes cannot be verified, so Raffit does not offer a post-upvote requirement. Comment-score rules use Reddit’s returned comment scores.

04. Create and review

Create the raffle, then review its saved settings and loaded comments. Check that the loaded comment pool matches the available entries for your post. Edit an open raffle if needed, and clearly communicate any changes to participants. Closed raffles cannot be edited after winners are drawn.

05. Draw and follow up

Automatic raffles are checked on a five-minute schedule after their end time. When available, use the draw action to process a ready raffle. In creator-selection mode, review eligible comments, select your winners, and save the selection.

Review the closed raffle’s winner list and links to original comments. You remain responsible for checking your published conditions, contacting winners, and delivering prizes. If you use reply tools, preview the messages and avoid including private information. Configured completion auto replies can send without a further manual preview.

When something needs attention

No posts available

Confirm you are signed in to the expected Reddit account and that its posts are accessible.

Fewer entries than expected

Check keyword and length filters, creator exclusion, deleted authors, entry frequency, and any Reddit API or processing errors.

The raffle has not closed

Check the timezone and end time. Allow for the scheduled processing interval. Creator-selection mode needs your selection.

A failed draw

Read the app’s error message, check that the source post is accessible, and email support@redditraffle.com if the problem persists.
