Draft for operator review · Updated 8 October 2026

Scope and operator

This policy covers the Raffit Devvit app, identified as comment-picker, and this information website. This app and website are operated under the business name Raffit. Contact us at support@redditraffle.com for support or privacy enquiries. Reddit separately handles data under its privacy policy.

Information the app processes

The app obtains your Reddit username and relevant subreddit and post context through Devvit. To display posts and process raffles, it reads post identifiers, titles, links, timestamps, scores and comment counts, and comment identifiers, author usernames, bodies, links, timestamps and scores. Raffle records contain creator identity, settings, deadlines, status, counts and selected winners, including winning comment text and links. It also tracks comment IDs that have received automated replies.

How information is used

Data supports account identification within Reddit, post selection, eligibility filtering, entry counting, winner selection, result display and automated reply handling. A raffle creator or configured administrator can manage raffle records. Results shown within the app may be visible to people who can access the relevant Reddit app experience. Replies posted to Reddit are visible according to Reddit’s access rules.

Storage and retention

Internal raffle records and automated reply tracking are stored in Reddit’s Devvit Redis storage. The reviewed code keeps up to 100 recent raffle records per subreddit and stores automated reply IDs without an app-defined count cutoff; the raffle record count limit is not a deletion deadline. No time-based expiry was found for these records. Removing a raffle from the app removes its raffle record, but does not automatically remove Reddit comments, reply tracking, backups, or data held by other services. Production retention and deletion schedules require operator confirmation.

Optional external services

Where an external picker service is configured and the dashboard login flow is invoked, the code can send your username, recent post and comment data, and subreddit/post context to that service to create a dashboard session. Queued external raffle processing can send collected comment data to that service. Its operator, hosting location, retention and availability must be confirmed for the installation; the main guide focuses on the internal Reddit workflow.

If an administrator configures an OpenAI-compatible AI provider, reply generation sends the base reply message, comment IDs and author usernames to the configured endpoint. In the reviewed generation payload, comment bodies are not included. The provider processes these inputs under its own terms and data practices. Without a configured provider, built-in wording variations are available. Do not include sensitive information in reply prompts.

This website and cookies

This static website does not include application-level analytics, advertising scripts, forms, or browser-storage features. Hosting and access infrastructure may process IP addresses, request information and authentication data, and may use essential cookies. Infrastructure retention and any future analytics must be confirmed and disclosed before public launch. Following Reddit or other external links brings you under those services’ policies.

Requests and choices

You can choose not to use the app, avoid optional reply features, or contact Raffit at support@redditraffle.com about access, correction and deletion. Include enough context to identify the data, without providing passwords or API keys. Availability and handling of privacy rights depend on the applicable law and the operator’s role; the operator must confirm these procedures. A moderator can uninstall the app, which should not be assumed to delete all stored data.

Updates

The operator should update this policy when data flows, providers or retention practices change and communicate material changes through the website or app as appropriate.
